Luis joined the Zon lab in 2024 for his master's thesis research to conclude his degrees in Biochemistry and Biophysics at the University of Freiburg, Germany, and in Biophysical Chemistry at the University of Strasbourg, France. He works together with Dr. Lulu Yue to characterize inflammatory lipid mediators in the hematopoietic niche, which he additionally aims to structurally characterize using deep learning. Outside of the lab, Luis enjoys playing table tennis, hiking, and going to the Boston Symphony Orchestra. (edited)
