Shannon Freyer
Aquaculture Specialist (Cambridge)
Shannon earned a B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience from Northeastern University and an M.S. in Environmental Science from UMass Boston. She worked at the New England Aquarium prior to joining the lab in 2019. She is responsible for maintenance of the aquatics facility and daily zebrafish husbandry. She also works with Dr. Marlies Rossman to investigate metabolic pathways in zebrafish. In her free time, Shannon enjoys playing with her cat, chinchilla, and dog, as well as watching sports, reading, and doing puzzles.
